Proud Parent – Kim Martel - “You can dance anywhere, even if only in your heart.” This is a saying I tell my three girls all the time.  But, where they dance is just not anywhere, this place has been our home for more than 7 years now, “Dancetech Training Center”.  I have seen my little cocoons blossom into beautiful talented butterflies. Jennifer Ritchlin is one amazing professional that has the drive and determination to exceed all expectations.  Her willingness to step in and teach our youth about showmanship, time management, leadership, integrity and most of all the love for dance is outstanding.  As a mother of three and a mentor for the Denver Public Schools, I know how important these attributes are needed in order for our youth to succeed.  My children have gone to other dance studios, however it was not a perfect match.  I feel the parents responsibility is to match our values and goals with the right people, for instance giving back to the community is one of my strongest values in life. Jennifer is very active within the community.  She has set up performances at the retirement homes, fall and summer festivals, fundraising events and local business all in order to help out one another.  When this occurs she not only enhances our community but, the gift of giving back is an example for the dancers.  “Lead By Example.” Jennifer has handled each competition with superior performance, determination, positive attitude, grace and humility well beyond her years. Dancetech started off to be a very small business, now I look at the number of students added just shows how much she cares about the outcome of our children’s future.  She takes the time to research all costs associated with costumes, make-up, shoes, recital venues in order for the parents to reap the rewards of saving a dollar. I appreciate her efforts because it’s a lot of hard work.
