Jennifer Ritchlin – Owner Jennifer is a Colorado native and has been training in all areas of dance, cheer-leading; tumbling for over 30 years. She has been teaching in the community for over 15 years & decided to open her own training center 7 years ago, Jennifer was the Colorado State Representative for Cheerleaders of America (COA) and was a lead camp instructor and a certified judge. She is also USAF and Safety Certified. Jennifer has coached within the District 12 schools for the last 10 years. Her last High School Pom Squad placed 3rd at the Colorado State Championship and her last High School Jazz Team took home 2 National Titles in Orlando Florida. Jennifer is an honorable Breast Cancer Survivor and was featured on Fox 31’s TV Series “Living the American Dream” and continues to raise money for the March of Dimes. In the fall, Jennifer will be attending a local college to study Grant Writing to better the community and hopes to open doors to more resources for low income families. Recently, in February 2011, she was named Coach of the Year and Dancetech Training Center was featured In the “Cheer Biz” national magazine. In October 2011, she was featured on the Front Page of the Denver Post for the 2011 Race for the Cure.
Krista Allen – Krista specializes in Hip Hop, both old school, new school, and Contemporary/lyrical. Teaching musicality and the art of dance in a fun intense class shows what she does best! Krista’s styles are unique by not just teaching placement and counts, but terminology and musicality. Krista Allen is the founder and artistic Director of Denver’s Kitty Box Dancers. An all-female, non-profit dance company who participates and/or hosts events such as Big Top Denver 2011, Safe House of Denver fundraiser Events with Dj Bedz of 107.1FM Radio, 2010-2011 Martha Wash of the Washington Girls, Outreach programs through-out Colorado 2004-2011, Denver Art Museum for Hip Hop appreciation of 2004-2006. Krista has been featured on the Carnival Cruise Liner, Walt Disney World’s 50thAnniversary Celebration 2004, Carnival (LAs choreographers Ball) 2008, Harley Davidson Fashion Show 2009 “This is it” DVD release 2010 Block Buster.
Jason Altimarano – In the last year and a half he has been here, he has seen remarkable changes with his students. He has so much faith in his students, they are the reason the program has been a success. “I may push them, but they present the results of their own determination! Jason is a college Pre-med student. He works full time at an office job, ALSO works doing massage therapy, and coaching. Jason has been doing gymnastics since the age of 1 and at the age of 13, he started coaching tumbling as a High School Student while on his schools cheer team. He became their cheer teams head coach and won State for their division!!! Since then, he coached for UCA summer camps throughout Colorado and then found his home at Dancetech.
Sara Carlson – Sarah, a Michigan native, has been a dancer, teacher and choreographer for over 20 years. She began her dance training at Dance Unlimited in Plymouth, MI studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical and modern. After finishing high school, Sarah was admitted into the prestigious University of Michigan dance program and has since taught and been a guest choreographer at multiple studios throughout the Detroit Metro area. During her time at Dance Unlimited she was elected the Artistic Director of the children’s dance company, Dance Ensemble West, and became the owner and director of Dance Unlimited from 2007-2009. She continued her dance career as a principal dance member of Jazz Dance Theater from 1999-2010 under the direction of Adam B. Clark. Sarah has also traveled quite extensively, taking classes from the top choreographers in L.A. and New York and performing in pieces set by Gus Giordano Alumni, Patty Obey. Most recently, Sarah has returned to the stage with professional company Avatar Movement, dancing as the White Rabbit in “Alice in Wonderland.” She is excited to join the staff of Danctech.
Michael “FATE” Sierra – Fate has been a studio Bboy (breakdancing) instructor since 1999, offering a unique style and arrangement of teaching techniques, Four Element HipHop Programs, in-school & after-school programs, choreography, bboy cardio, and Bboy master classes. In addition, he is the Executive Director and Owner for the educational and entertainment HipHop programs of Colorado HIPHOP Elements where educational Hiphop Programs were offered for the youth population in schools, rec centers, probation offices, and detention facilities. The programs we offer helps to encourage the youth participant to complete school or probation, to empower the individual to make the correct choices in their life, and to educate on the positivity of the Hip Hop Culture. Fates programs have been in places such as the Denver School of the Arts, Denver Juvenile Probation and Family Integrated T.A.S.C. Project, Mayor’s Office for Education and Children, Youth Workshops for Denver Indian Health, The Cole Beacons Programs, Horace Mann Middle School, Bruce Randolph Middle School, Schenk Elementary School, Epworth United Methodist Church and Dancetech.
Jessica Garcia – Jessica is a C.N.A. and stay at home mother of 2 amazing children, one born with special needs. She absolutely LOVES watching these kids grow and learn new things! She says “Teaching my little ones the basic fundamentals of what brings them joy is such an amazing experience”. Teaching them everything she knows and watching the smiles on their faces as they are performing from the heart is what brings her joy! Jessica believes the heart of a child is most pure, and finds such a passion to see them grow! She feel strongly that the greatest gift a parent can give their child is the gift of self worth, and knowing that she has a little part in that, is just priceless! Her favorite part of this wonderful experience as the Lil Stars Cheer Coach is to watch them push themselves to be GREAT and move on to be amazing future All-Star Cheerleaders.
